Default transistor tone control schematic

I need a schematic for transistor Bass & Treble control. If any one have this please send or upload. I made one with LM1036N but I am not satisfied with that. Looking for a better one. I have LM4766T power amp and I will play the tone control with this amp. Thanks in advance.

Hi diptangshu,

Although not transistor based, I can recommend the ESP Hi-Fi Preamplifier by Rod Elliott. I have built this using LM4562 opamps and it sounds very good. His circuit provides a +/- 10dB tone boost/cut, which is rather more subtle than many of the more common designs.

Hi-Fi Preamplifier

Regards,
Steve

Thanks Steve, I will try this schematic but have to design the PCB for it.

hello.
found some tonecontrols with transistors............many years ago they were available as a kit............
and there is always the possibility to fiddle around with the parts (bc109c = bc549c,.......)
greets

The second schematic should provide the better perfs in matter
of THD and noise as it s an active baxandall tone control.

BC109C can be replaced by BC550C or any generic low noise
NPN BC series, BC184C BC309C BC413/414 BC549C , the list is
endless...
In japanese bjts, 2SC1775 2SC1845 2SC2240 are good candidates.

Wahab, I am willing to replace those BCs with 2N3904. what do you think?

Some of the circuits above that specifically state "BC109C" may be relying on the very high gain these devices have (typically around 500), so the 2N3904 with a much lower typical gain may not suffice in all cases. If you want transistor circuits to behave as designed, always use equivalent devices to those specified.

........yes,the bc109c is a low noise transistor with big hfe-values (around 500).
here is annother schematic, it was used in mixers, see the multiple inputs.......
präsenz = mid control
