Have read some terrifying stuff about conterfeit transistors going around and then I got this "wonder if mine are fakes" feeling.
Well, I've got the pics below, could you guys coment on them please?
I'm worried about the 2SC2987 in particular, since its legs are thiner and shorter (1mm agains 1,3mm), and the case itself does not match the 2SA1227 in size. In addition, if you see on the lower pic, the back is all plastic!
I've tried the Ascetone test on the SA's and they passed, and the SC's have etched numbers.
I've included a MJL21193 for size comparsion.
I will be using these transitors in a class A amp (2-2,5A current) so if they are fakes then I'm afraid they will blow... (and take other things with them!)

All my MJLs are shiny and they come directly from ON.. do they give away fakes of their own products?

The MJL looks nice. My MJLs are exactly same. The others? Hmmmm.... looks interesting....
