Hi, been looking at various diy amp builds and totaly confused at what to attempt for my first build and was hoping one of you experienced builders can recommend a nice starter project. I'm not a total novice with a soldering iron but never attampted anything this size before.
I'm lookng to build a power amp to fit into my AV setup but will be a good 2 channel as well. Many Thanks.

go to Elliot Sound Products (ESP).
lots of build projects, many with PCB to suit. Lots of background info that needs full attention. Some Safety that must be read. Also worth going to Decibel Dungeon.

Once you've read the stuff Andrew has recommended, you could also have a look at 41Hz Audio:Sounds Good to Me! for some complete kits.

SymAsym - The Sequel, AAK's PCB GB
~100 W/channel AAK continues to refine the boards for the SymAsym. This is a current group buy for boards, version 1.4. A builder's guide already exists. Matched components may still be available from AAK along with the boards. I built version 1.3 and got it to bias and operate on the first try...a testimony to the good support in the thread and my willingness to read twice...or more...and follow direction... I'm going to build another. Come join the fun.

Thanks for the replies I'll have a look at all of these.
