Hi all,
I have the following setup in my lounge; Marantz CD player Cambridge Azur 640A (tweaked) Cambridge Azur 540R V2 surround amp Rega Ela speakers Surround speakers, DVD, TV etc What I want to do is use the nice sounding 640A to drive the front speakers and the 540R to drive the centre and rear surrounds. This is so that I have good quality sound for music and yet can still use the same speakers when watching films etc. The problem is the 540's pre-outs have to be enabled all together and when they are, all the power amps are disabled. This means I can't have a combination of pre-outs and power outs, it's all pre-outs or all power amps! I am looking for a full schematic for the 540R so I can bypass the front power amps and route the preamp level to the rear preout sockets. Does anyone have a schematic for the CA 540R V2? Cheers, Matt |
