This is the first time the oompa loompas at amazon.com have failed me. Did they took shipment literally and try to cross the pond by rowboat?

Hi Jack,

Thanks for those kind words. It makes my day to hear someone say that I've made something easier to read and understand. Too bad you didn't have a carton of the books to sell to the people on the plane :-). I'll bring a carton to the meeting this Sunday.

What brought you to Austin?

Cheers,
Bob

It wasn't SY -- I couldn't take all the excitement -- family wedding instead.

Great fun hanging out and basking in the reflected glory of Bob, and Jan Didden behind their book-selling table at RMAF.

Just EVERY technically oriented person at the event had to stop by the table and chat. Names you know! Especially around here..

And pretty much everyone at the show who I talked to in elevators and demo rooms knew of diyAudio, so I got a bit of celebrity glow too!

Hi Mark, Thanks!

It was really great meeting you in person and I enjoyed our conversations. The RMAF was a great ride this year. If I ever need a place to crash in San Francisco I'll know where to go. I hope you'll stop by the booth at AES and re-connect with Angela and I.

I also enjoyed seeing Charles Hansen and chatting with him. His $20K preamp is gorgeous, milled from a block of aluminum. I was told it takes 6-10 hours on the machine to mill.

Cheers,
Bob

Hi Brian,

Given the many other far-away places where people have received books, it is a bit mystifying that it hasn't made it to the United Kingdom. I very much doubt you will have to wait until December.

Cheers,
Bob
