There are a number of articles suggesting matching jfets, usually at 10V. Yet, if my circuit works at, say for example, 20V, should I adjust the voltage of the matching circuit to 20V?

Yes, I would use 20 Volt.
Matching at 10 Volt would most probable be good enough, but I like to match at the level devices should work. When matching high power transistors, it is not as easy to setup a situation with lots of power and heat. But for small signal JFET and BJT this is less of a problem.

jFETs may not be at their best with 20Vds
I agree test/measure/match devices for the operating conditions of the application. Vds, Id, Tj/Tc, |
