Hello
Been lurking in these forums for a while but now I actually need some personal advice! A couple of days ago, my trusty Mission Cyrus One amplifier suffered a drop in volume on the right channel. I'm having to compensate by adjusting the balance on my mixer. Given that the amp is over 20 years old, does anyone have an idea what the usual suspects are in such a case? Thanks |

Possibilities:
Dirty potentiometers Dried up electrolytics in the signal path Sulfide corrosion on switch contacts in the signal path A weak transistor in the input stage |

Thanks hardwareguy
There's no balance control on this amp and no crackling coming from the stepped volume pot. I also tried several inputs (CD, Aux, Tape) and the volume reduction was evident on all of them. Nevertheless, I'll check out your suggestions. |

Did you find the problem? Someone on another forum has the same trouble with a Cyrus One.
