Default value of resistor 616 in a su v2 technics class a integrated amp

i have a technics integrated amp that turns on but no speaker relay click . i opend the case an d found the resisitor 616 burnt beyond recognition. i have downloade the service manual from 2 diferent sites but the resistor value its not clear. can somebody give me the correct value of this resistor, thanks.

SU-V2? Those used STK 80xx modules right?

If so, your likely fault is one of those modules...they like to fail short circuit and put a voltage rail on the output! The protection circuit sees this and opens the relay to save your speakers. Check for DC voltage with respect to ground on the speaker relay input leads. One relay handles both channels if I recall correctly. Thus is one channel faults, both channels are disconnected from the speakers.

Unless the resistor in question is in the protection circuit, look for one in the same position circuitry wise on the other channel. Its a symmetrical circuit. SU-V4 is similar but more powerful. SU-V4 used STK-8050. (SU-V3 and V5 are different entirely...complementary discreet transistors!)

SU-V2 and SU-V2X are different amplifiers. Judging by the appearance of the old SU-V7 and the SU-V7X (which I own and love!) the internal differences are likely to be massive.

What power amp IC does the V2X use? I'm curious.

ok seen the diference my shelf ....correct these are two diferent amplifiers ...i have the schematic of the suv2 also ....

the resisttor in question R616 is the same with 615 and its 390R expect capacitor 605-606 to be faulty and tranistors 601-602 may be ...

outputs shorted or faulty is also a chance ...verify ofset before everything else ....if you need schematic ...e mail me

regards sakis

The SU-V2 has discreet transistors? Or is it STK?

Just curious...got a schematic for SU-V5? Ive got one and its not happy.

R616 is 5% carbon resistor, 390R/0,25W the same as R615.

thanks for the help, the resistor in question is in the main main part of the amp and is near the speaker outputs,i did what hardwareguy said and found out is the same as 615 390R/0,25w 5% like aparatusonitus said also. is this resistor could triger the protection circuit to act?(stedy red light in the power buton) i will replace resistor for same and will post results. thanks again. here some pics of the board and position of the resistor.
