Hi,
Are there any common problems? Power led's light. No sound at all. I see it has IC's so maybe not worth fixing? Do they sound good & can it be improved? Does anyone have sevice manual or at least schematic? Thanks very much in advance! Randy |

You can check across the large eletrolytics for power.
Any fuses blown ?

lv112 is a tribute to the stk 3082-62 series ...its the best available you will ever get ... this IC is used to drive the output stage and others that worked the same way never managed to bring better results ...
a bad amplifier i would say ...stil its a classic machhine that worth to look at ... places to look will be ---main and seconadary power supply --- fuses and protection resistors here and there --- faulty output stage --- faulty STK 3062 IC --- faulty protection area schematic is available you can e mail me to have it and you may get someextra help regarding the procedure from here vintage amplifier repair/upgrade manual kind regards sakis

Hi,
Thanks all. Sakis thanks very much for schem and info. Fuses okay and 46V at large ps caps. Will check outputs etc. I guess only way to check IC is to replace. I never heard this amp before it worked. Sakis, you seem to say it may not be that great an amp soundwise. Would I be better spending money on the other newer boards on this form and hopefully use the nice front for controls and possibly ps. Thanks Very Much, Randy |

well not realy .... unless you are pretty sure what are you doing ....
this amplifier is average you may add a few goodies on it and upgrade much is possible but other than the above i would keep it as was ... changing a few things here and there will make it sound a bit better but that is the max you will ever get ... converting the output boards will not be an easy task since a lot of mechanics involved ....so keep it as is
