Default Levinson 335 /390S Voltage conversion

Dear Friends,
Could you suggest how to convert the 110V 60Hz (bought from USA) unit to operate in 220V 50Hz?
I have no.335 and no.390S. Is it easy as changing the jumper? or changing chip? or reset software? My local dealer want to charge 600USD per unit and mention that they need to change the chip (Which doesn't make sense to me)
If cannot reply in the forum, please help send email to thekop9@yahoo.com thanks and appreciate.

The equipment has mains frequency sensor and even if you convert it to proper voltage with a jumper, it will still not operate as the mains frequency in your location is different. It can be updated by inputting special code (through the remote) that you should be able to obtain from the manufacturer.

Thanks peter. Do both 335 and 390S fall into this frequency protection?
or just 390S?

I don't know about 335 but 390S definitely does.
