Hi there
I would like a definitive list for placement transistors for a NAD 3020A amplifier. The transistors needed are the following: 2N3055 & 2N2955Thank you in advance. I accidentally destroyed my NADs right channel due to a wrong connection in a speaker crossover... very mad at myself. |

Hi,
2N3055/2955 still available. See at Farnell or other Internet vendor. 2N6551/6554. BD137/138 might work well. Available at Farnell too. Take care of pins disposition. regards, |

Mmm... RS Components only stock the 3055s! I'll try Farnell but out here in Africa its dark concerning such obscure parts!

Hello,
As a fellow said above, MJ2955 and 2N3055 can be used on a pair. Use both with the same fT. regards, Browse for Products | Farnell United Kingdom Browse for Products | Farnell United Kingdom |

NAD 3020 and later variants had a few driver complements.
Hitachi/Renesas 2SB649A, 2SD66A were also used. The 3055/2955 power complements would have to be the longest runnning, most common and cheapest on the planet. Deltavektor, you haven't said what is available to you. Is there a repair shop with any transistor parts nearby?
