Hi,
I have just aquired a Meridian 101 Preamp, an early 3 module discreet transistor version to go with my M2 active speakers. The preamp is fitted with a Moving coil input module labeled Ortofon moving coil, dated 197?something. I would like to use it with a Denon DL103, i contacted Meridian to see if the Ortofon module would be compatable with the Denon, they thought the gain would be on the low side, but could offer no further technical information on the Ortofon Module. ![]() Does anyone have any schematics or info as regards loading and gain of the input modules, particulally the Ortofon one fitted? Can the input module gain be increased by changeing a feedback resistor?, Or would it be possible to remove the plug in module and replace it with a diy, higher gain module more suitable for the Denon? Any help or info would be much appreciated. Thanks |
