Hi, my OA20 (No 1248 from the Cornflake Shop) has been happily booming away since 1987 but has recently developed a 'muffled' channel.
Due to a warranty repair in 1992 the screws that hold the case on are stripped so before I drill them out can anyone comment...
For a while the selector pot has been a little dodgy or perhaps dirty/scratchy (for a few years) but nothing that a wiggle didn't work out.
Now the only output from one channel is very muffled - I've switched the speakers around and checked the external connections and tried multiple inputs (disc - 1987 Rega, tape - Squeezebox).
So, should I drill out those screws and what will I need to do then?
Any help appreciated. I hear that the ONIX designer is on here, which is pretty cool.. Tony Brady, it's a great amp.
