Anyone upgraded a 740A Cambridge Audio ?

Knowing Cambridge, the power supply capacitors are undersized rubbish. Another problem however is poor heatsinking, so while upgrading the supply capacitance might help, it'll probably cause the amp to die when the power supply will no longer sag quite so much to protect the outputs from overheating

This German company seems to offer mods - mostly component changes it would seem:

hoer-wege Modifikation für CAMBRIDGE AUDIO azur Verstärker 740A

From the pics and my experience the more upmarket CAs are well designed and built.

Heat in the o/p stage is much more related to load impedance and output level than a bit less voltage sag on the supply rails. I suspect the CA has a protection thermistor anyway.
