Let's clear things up.
If the outputs are 2-legged only, then you will need two transformers to attain a center tapped configuration.
No problem to parallel the inputs under 220 or 230V, since this is the way everything gets connected after inserting a plug to the mains in the wall.
Connecting outputs in series has been discussed earlier in this thread, so no need to tell the whole story once again.
