Hello
Here are some pictures of my finished Nmos200 amp. I have used 2 pairs of IRFP240, +/- 50V power supply, upc1237 speaker protection, soft start, analog VU meters - based on project 55 from Rod Elliot. Cheers |

Nice build
You plan to use it as a PA amp (judging by the in & out connectors)? |

@ sakis
Yes there are indeed extra pair of mosfets. From the picture is not clear but they are of the PCB. The extra soure resistors are under the L shape aluminium bar and can not be seen on the picture. The extra gate resistors are visible on the picture. I've used the extra pair of mosfets because the amplifier will be used with 4 ohm speakers and I want to be on the safe side of SOA. Power supply uses 500VA toroid with 2 x 35V secondary windings. Rectifiers are 35A/1000V metal blocks on the L shaped aluminium bar. It uses 2 x 10000uf/63V capacitors per chanell. Cheers |

if the cables the feed the extra pair of mosfets are twisted ... that is a problem ( they need to be apart ) then again it seems to me that these cables look very thin ... but may be i am wrong ...
see to that please or post a close up regards sakis

the only cable wich is visible on the picture for the extra mosfets is the gate cable. The cable for feeding drain and source are not visible because they are under the L shape aluminium bar - and they are not thin or twisted. Cheers |
