I am looking for how to change my Rotel to 120/60. It is currently 240/50 - have the service manuals and the wiring and posts seem easy enough that a no thumb monkey should be able to solder - if they were on the correct posts. I found Service Manuals on page 4 shows exactly what I have (240/50) - but nowhere does it indicate how to change. Thanks! M.

There should be two primary windings, each 120 Volts, connected in series. You need to reconnect them in parallel.
You also need to make sure you don't reverse one winding. Here is the procedure: The current connection should be wires 1 and 2 on the first winding. Wire 2 goes to wire 3 on the second winding, and wire 4 on the second winding goes to the mains. You leave wire 1 and wire 4 as they are. Take wire 2 from where it is and put it with wire 4. Take wire 3 and put it with wire 1. That oughta do it. |
