Oh I remember those lovely little mosfet monoblock's. If memory serves me well B&W sold them as well under the name MPA1

What a sweet design. Different then anything I've seen from Rotel. DC coupled, mosfet's. I wonder what is the function of the PC827 optocoupler in the bias circuit?

The dual opto-coupler is connected transistors TR318 & TR319, which in turn are connected to the o/p and detect any DC over current in the 0R22 source resistors. The coupler output shuts off the power via the auto turn on (ATO) function.
