I'm a musician (keys) and I'm trying to streamline my setup. On stage I use three stereo devices (2xsynth, 1x sampler). All those devices have a volume knop, so on my current mixer (a very small Behringer) I don't use the channel-volume knobs.
I once made a passive mixer consisting of a few resistors which works great, but weakens the signal going to the PA and my monitor.
Can anybody point my to a diy preamp kit (with only a volume control) I can use with my passive mixer? Battery powered (9V) would be great. Could I use 2 of those parallel (on for my monitor, and on for the PA) on the same signal? I need to be able to adjust the signal going to my monitor independent of the signal going to the PA.
Any other suggestions to minimalize my setup?
