This could be an interresting collection of all magazines, not only english, French, German and Japan editions - we have more than 200 countries:

Your estimate is right - "diy-hifi", "repair of audio/hifi" and and test comparable magazines, which combine this (like MJ or the old l'audiophile). But not clean test magazines like "Stereophile" - here you will not find diy/circuit-mod instructions.

A clear differentiation to other topics such e.g reception/radio technology and communication stuff like cell-phone and wireless LAN will not be given to all magazines.

One must say, all the magazines, which audio hifi diy deal with at least partially.

73 Magazine (also known as 73 Amateur Radio Today) was an amateur radio magazine that was published from October 1960 to September 2003. It was known for its strong emphasis on technical articles and for the lengthy editorials in each issue by its founder and publisher, Wayne Green (W2NSD).

the distinction between radio reception technology, amateur radio, audio/hi-fi and instrumental/public address amplifier technology is not always possible since we are dealing with a smooth transition. Therefore here are many amateur radio and television so as guitar amp/public address magazines from early days.

May I humbly submit the first magazine on tech audio that was started in a looong time: Linear Audio | your tech audio resource.
Not a monthly journal; I publish it twice per year. But it has 160+ pages of tech articles with NO advertisement.
Should appeal to a lot of people here.
You can browse article abstracts and author bio's at the website.
Linear Audio Vol 1 will be published next spring.

Good work , Jan. At least you are not pushing $hitty designs like the "tigersaurus". We have come a LONG WAY . I was much more frustrated in my 20's than now ( in my 40's). :)

I read:
This circuit is close to the very first one I've designed in 1992. Since then it's versions (considerably improved and developed) were used by me in a series of Creek Audio Limited amplifiers (I was a chief engineer there till the end of last year) , starting from 4240 and including latest 5350 and A50 amps. I did publish the original idea in the RadioHobby magazine (in Russian) in 1998

I have a few .... From the UK, I recall:

Hifi-world DIY audio supplement

All of them had very large doses of audio and hifi projects
All of them are also gone forever (sigh)
I have some of them still including some very old ones of the first title from the 50s I think
