I Have been careless with a speaker wire and The Left hand channel gone.
Can anyone please advise 1. Do i need to replace a fuse inside. 2. How please do I get inside . I tried gently with a screw driver and the screws round the side Black casing are to tight i do not want to knacker the heads. Or do you go in through the base of the unit. What tool is needed. Second thing The Headphone socket dose not cut out the speakers when a headphones inserted i is this easy remedied once inside. |

You need a service manual or, at the very least, a schematic diagram.
Those screws will come out if you have a screwdriver that fits. Press inward and only exert slight rotational force to avoid slipping out of the slot. Stand the receiver on its side so you can bear down with your weight on the screw head. I can give more details; I am a past master at removing difficult screws. As for the headphone concern, many receivers were designed that way and you need to switch off the speakers if you want them quiet. |
