I've seen all of these recommended before as medium power devices for VAS and drivers.

KSA1142/KSC2682 - TO126

Yep. This is a low power application, and so isn't exactly a hard load to drive. I thought the post was asking about driver topologies, not types. As for what to use for more output, that would depend...

VAS and Driver requirements are quite different.
Don't use VAS devices as Drivers.
Don't use Driver devices as VAS.
