Servisol Super 10 Switch & Contact Cleaner

Hi,
I have bought a Marantz 1050 amp of Ebay with a noisy volume pot.

I also need to clean the volume pot on my Cyrus II amp as well which I bought new in 1990.

Is Servisol Super 10 Switch & Contact Cleaner on ebay any good

or do I need to use something like Deoxit

Caig Deoxit D5 Contact Cleaner 142g Can on eBay (end time 25-Apr-10 19:36:54 BST)

Any other advice on cleaning the pot on both amps welcome

hopefully it's just a scratchy pot and not a bad capacitor putting some dc on the pot. The sound will be the same ie scratchy. Deoxit is fine, there was an older product called Blue foam which i used for years to clean old TV tuners. remember the kind that you used to have to get up to change the channels. I used to use Deoxit at work then we started to use a product called Nygel, which comes in a small tube as is similar to a gel. Both products deoxit and nygel solved countless intermittent and solid electrical problems for me.
