Couldnt find my previous thread on this so started anew.
Finally cracked it tonight. One of the bias pots legs hadnt been soldered. A light knock on the board and the bias pot went o/c and applied full bias to teh output transistors and blew them up. Just a little sad I didnt spot it earlier. However i have built up 30 boards with well over a hundred joints on each and this was my first mistake.....
