Shouldn't be any problem as far as I can see, but the maximum
output power will be lower, of course. A rough calculation would be around 55W in 8 Ohms. Maybe one should lower the value of R3 correspondingly, but that is probably not necessary. |

Change R3 to 39K
Because of the lateral MOS this amplifier will only do about 40W at 8 ohms with a simple ±40V supply. The Hafler DH120, SE120 use about the same circuit and ±52V and do 60W/8R or 90W/4R(1Khz) http://www.hafler.com/techsupport/index.asp?ID=3 |
