quality transistors in London

does anyone have a recomentation for quality Supplier of 2SA1943 2SC5200 in London

here in Greece we have either too cheap with very questionable quality either too expensive that are supposed to be coming from a "veryfied " supplier but tag is in 5.5 euros a piece

i have many good friends in London ... any recomendation ????

welcome to the eurozone, where all prices are settled as if
the average salary was about 3500/4000 euros !!!
more seriously, 5.50 piece is a normal price in europe,
i doubt you ll find cheaper, even england has not adopted
this dreadfull inflationnary money..perhaps a half euro less
with some luck...

i generally buy my components from germany, as i live at
a 15km of the border... the price are generally more
attractive than in france, and by a wide margin...

You can always use Digikey and Mouser, Farnell also sell 5200/1943s made by Magnatek. I've used the Magnatek's and they are fine.

Magnatek is completly new for me. I have never heard before.

What about Fairchild's clones - these are reliable devices, and Fairchild Direct may even ship straight to Greece.

as about shiping there is no problem since i will buy them directly from UK

You can buy from Fairchild on their website Power Management ICs, Power Semiconductors, Signal Path ICs, Lighting and Display, Logic, Optoelectronics, Fairchild Semiconductor - Global Leader in Power Optimization
I belive various members on this board have tried the Fairchild devices and found them to be good and reliable. They are marked as FJL4215/FJL4315 but also sold as 2SA1943/2SC5200 by them.
