Hello,
I've got two issues with my Adcom GFA-535 amplifier. 1) It continues to blow both fuses on the + and - leads to the amplifier board from the supply board. Both transformers are putting out a uniform 232V to the amplifier. This is on the right channel. I believe the issue may be in the power transistors. Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot and identify the bad transistor would be a great help. 2) On the left channel the Instantaneous Distortion alert light stays illuminated all of the time. I'm unsure how this circuit works and having difficulty tracing the issues. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris |

Check the output transistors are not shorted between C-E or S-D depending whether it is BJT or MOSFET's.
If the output transistors have gone then dont just assume replacing them will fix the problem, sometimes output transistors going take the driver and/or the VAS with them.
