cyrus integrated convert to PRE only ? seattle
Anyone in the seattle who could help me convert my cyrus one '86 integrated to a preamp? or ideally an option to function both as stock integrated or preamp only would be ideal. ! I fear taking it to a local tech would cost me more than I paid for it. but I love this amp but would just like to make it useable as a pre to my old Mac 2100..thanks, mark

The Cyrus you mean do not have a line preamp - everything runs through the volume pot to the amp direct. The phone section can be separated by cutting off the amp by removing the fuses.
But why do you want that? The Cyrus is perfect as it is in its own way - if you need a phone stage make yourself one or by one (by NAD, Pro-Ject, or even one the Ebay offers)?
