Default $50,000 power amp !! Anyone know what's inside it ??

Looks like everything that this company sells has a 50K price tag. But just focusing on the power amps, does anyone know anything about it ?? Why would you pay that much for an amp ??

Constellation Audio

Some info from a report of the 2010 CES ces104

Quote:
Constellation Audio, a new company born out of collaborations with the who's who of the audio world spearheaded by the Peter Madnick. These are their power amplifiers. Constellation Audio has the same ownership as Continuum, meaning that this is going to be one serious venture. In spending time with Peter as he went over each product and its design, it is clearly evident that these were truly designed with no corners being cut. The design teams were given free-reign in what they wanted to do and how they wanted to do it... cost was not not object. And all the products are made in SoCal.

Hello

Looking at the data sheet founded on their web site, it's a mosfet output, class A at low level and class AB at higher lever.

Maby they will be at the 2010 Montreal Audio Show, if so I will try to listen to this amp. But the price are way to high and for me they look like those electric heater sold at Canadian Tire.

Bye

Gaetan

Obviously, when it came to looks, they ran out of money.
