Red face Cryrus II and PSX Help

I was searching the net for help with my Cyrus II and PSX and found this forum. I appreciate all that I have read about the repair and modification of the Cyrus II and PSX, however, I am severely handicapped, as I have no idea where to start in diagnosing or understanding much of what I read here. I'm sure it may be poor form, but I need help either to get started (reading material) to understand all this technical electrical, or I need a superstar technician who can help me. I live in the US. Currently these components are not working and I don't know where to start.

Welcome to the forum.

More information would be useful:

What does it do and not do? For example, which lights are on and are you getting any sound?

How did it break? For example, Were you touching cables at the time? Was it playing loud?

What have you tried so far? For example, have you tried the Cyrus without using the PSX?

Best wishes,
Martin.

It has been sitting unused for about 6 years. It has always been kept in airconditioned storage. the last time it played, I was using the turntable and I got no sound or sound at very low levels with occasional bursts of loud sound. I tried yesterday to used my cd player and while the cd was showing as playing, I got no sound at all. Mind you, the cd player has sat unused during this same time also. I thought leaving the Cyrus II and the PSX powered on may help, but when I came back today and tried to use the cd player, it was dark and when I pushed the power switch, I got a loud pop through the speakers. But now the cd player wont play either. I don't know the year, but it is a cyrus II and psx slate grey and I think the over case is plastic. Both lights are on. And I haven't tried the cyrus II without the PSX, as I don't think I have a fuse to put in the Cyrus II. When I bought it I took out this fuse that I was told changed the cyrus II from an integrated amp into a pre-amp. I would have to get and replace that fuse. what fuse is required in there? thanks for your response.
