Default Leach Superamp

Hello from Canada everyone. Thought I'd join in the fun. Does any one know what the 1000 watt designation on my LSR&D Superamps indicate? These are monos with the black faceplate and wooden sides. I just aqcuired them. As far as I'm aware, they put out 270-300 watts. The nameplate looks factory. Much appreciated.
