Exclamation Help with NAD 3130!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everobody
i joust bough a NAD 3130 from ebay. it arrived today at my home.
to my great surprise it is broken : the power light turns on, but the soft clipping led is also always on and no sound at all is coming from the speakers (neither noise or tun-on/off thump).......
HELP! has anyone experienced something similar? how can i fix it?????

thanks a lot!

Put a cable in the pre-out main-in jacks.

The soft-clipping light is on whenever the switch on the rear is on.

the pre-out and main-in are connected by the original metal cable. moreover i already tried to use directly the main-in input (bypassing the preamp) but still no sound is coming from the speakers...i'll have to do a check with the oscilloscope in the next days

Schematics are the first thing to find.
Then its down logical faultfinding.

Good old ebay. I dont usually find much junk on ebay now as they are touchy about things like that. Did get stung with a rope light once that only had half the lights working. Cost me £13 to send it back and I couldnt claim the £13 back ouch !
If I do buy off ebay I tend to buy new now.

Might be worth oevrhauling it as well if you have to fix it.
Replace electrolytics, some just have a life of a few thousand hours.
