Hello all i am looking for hi power amplifier designs or sites that have instructions on designing a High wattage mosfet amp either with high rail voltages or using bridgeing and parralleling of amps to drive upto 500watt @ 2ohm

I think you need to spend some time with the "search" facility on this forum as there is an enormous amount of info available for what you might be looking for.
Also try "Eliot Sound Products", which is another great site; and he has pcb's available for his design's and some very informative articles. Have fun researching. Jerryo

Build project 117 with 5 pair of outputs with a 50-0-50 500VA~800VA transformer, that will get you 500W/2R.

At that power I would recommend class D instead of AB. Anyway, what are you going to do with such a thing?

a 50+50Vac 1200VA 3.5% regulation transformer with +-75mF smoothing and 6pair of MJ21193/4 should give 450W into 4r0 and 800W into 2r0 and drive a 60degree phase angle load if you can keep the heatsink (& Tc) cool.
4pair and a 700VA 4% transformer with +-45mF will give >440W into 4r0. Last edited by AndrewT; 11th December 2009 at 10:36 AM. |
