Hi...
Does anybody have any experience of modding the Quad 44? The source selection is carried out by a series of bi-lateral CD4066 solid state switches. These do not seem to be what you would describe as audio quality. I am considering replacing these with relays along with the appropriate driving circuitry. My other question relate to the specific of the design. Quad use TL07x pre amps extensively throughout out these designs, surely a circuit of discrete components would provide better performance? Why the TL07x? |
