There is a seller on ebay who has these for $39.99 for 10. I've seen these for as much as $15/ea online.
These transistors were used in a lot of the old Acoustic Control & Kustom guitar and bass amps, as well as McIntosh, Heathkit, & other hifi gear. I bought the 2 sets & they appear to be genuine old stock parts. The leads are oxidized and the cases are dusty. I specifically asked the seller about counterfeiting and he assured me that they are from old stock sources. 1 of my 40409s is bad (tests open on every junction with diode test, ohmmeter & transistor checker). So, 19 out of 20 ain't bad. Search for RCA 40409 or 40410 on ebay. The seller is jaxele (Jax Electronics). I have no affiliation or interest in this seller. Pix of what I received: |
