Germanium amplifier because we want to hear what the sound is such an amplifier.
Those familiar sound claim to the sound of the amplifier with different Si transistors?
If you want to check the sound of germanium output devices, I would not try to perform a diy project. You buy at best an old and used exemplare of the Braun amplifier, model "CSV 10" (CSV10) years of production: 1963-1966

yes, because there are the widest schematic range over the world, but only for pay and nothing for free.
