Default Re-start long idlle Parasound HCA-220ii

That should be "HCA-2200II""

I have neither the knowledge or qualifications to move ahead with this situation so I'm throwing myself on the mercy and good graces of all and sundry here.
This Parasound has been idle for at least 5 years - if not longer - and I'm given to understand that there are Jfet devices involved here.
I've heard that these devices and what I would normally do with a long idle amp (Variac) would not be the best procedure.

So - what to do?

Any sage wisdom thrown in my general direction would be more than gratefully appreciated!
