I have recently revisited this little French amplifier . Its an integrated and runs very hot indeed in pure class A I believe. It has a discrete preamplifier circuit on the same board as the power amp circuit keeping the signal path very short indeed.
What amazed me was that it was superior in sound to my ears, over the gainclone and F5 pass labs diy. It had the most stunning presence to musicians and vocalists and the tonal palate seemed to be contributing to this. It was as good as my reference highly modded now unrecognisable audio note el84 OTO amplifier Not sure if anyone else has come across this amp and recognises/understands its circuit topology. Interested in modding it to even further heights. I put it ontoa couple of friends modest audiophile systems and they too were quite taken back by its overall sound. |

Hello, have you found a service manual for the TE-60? I'm interested in the pre-drivers, the small ones from the heatsink. Could you tell me what do you have on yours? it seems that mine are not the original ones
Thanks |
