Default Qsc amps with "flying power" supply?

Hi!
It would be interesting to know ,has anybody tried to build as diy these kind of power amps like QSC is designing? Check their website and find from archive the scematics.Interesting solutions ca 30 years and still working!
The next i try is make the qsc amp design and study it.I`m very interested about other members feedback and experiences...
Thanks.
Hannes

I have QSC 1400 (with a flying power supply) sitting here that needs a rebuild. Haven't decided if it is worth it or not. Peavey is/was another big user of the topology. Haven't searched for an opinion of audio quality yet.

Default Have`nt any scematics for Peavey pa .. to compare

with so called flying power supply. There`s no anything special in the topology, but for diy its quite simple -power transformer is without zero midpoint and what`s more important-end stage transistors can be mounted without insulation washers directly to heatsink.....+the speaker is galvanically not connected to power supply at its ground-end(when s.. happens with end-stage transistor-there`s no danger of dc accsess to driver ..or what?)

I've see Jukebox amplifiers with "flying" power supplies. The only limitation with that topology is that the channel 1 and channel 2 amplifiers can't share the same power supply. Otherwise, they seem to work well.
