Hi,
Some my friends just bought for me some units in USA, but i live in Europe. So, i'd like to know, can i convert( not, but someone who is skillfull ) voltage from 110v to 220v on: Forte Audio 4A power amp and Nakamichi 610 pre-amp, without buying new transformers? Thanks to everybody! |

That depends in gereral on whether the transformer has only one or two windings for 110V.
If there is only one 110VAC winding, you must be order a different transformer for 240VAC or an additional and appropriate AC/AC converter transformer is connected between 240VAC main connector from the wall and your 110VAC devices (please choice the right VA value). If there are two 110V windings at your presently transformer, either there is a voltage selector switch, or there must be remove and replace internally any jumpers or solder wires. In your service manual you can find the instructions.
