Hi,
Some quick questions - I'm familiar with bridging, where two identical amplifiers (or channels) are bridged by providing an inverted input signal to the second half. Most of these approaches use some sort of active circuit, such as an inverting buffer. Can I achieve the same (or better) result by using a line input transformer with a center-tapped secondary? Are there any special considerations for a transformer in this application? Assuming standard consumer grade single-ended inputs, any thoughts on turns or impedance ratios? I like the Jensen transformers, but budget constraints may indicate Edcor. Any luck with those? |
