What needs replacing? Intermittent popping and clicking

I have a pretty old power amp which has recently begun clicking and popping on the right channel only. It is an intermittent problem, sometimes its fine for days at a time, other times its clicking for days at a time. The noise is not affected by the volume control and sometimes it overloads the channel. I'm pretty desperate to get it fixed, it's not good for the speakers or the amp. If anyone knows what it is, it'll be you guys

The first thing I would do is replace the input transistors.
I had that problem when I got my SA-7500.

Last time when I had intermittent popping and clicking it was a worn out output potection relay. Other contact related issues such as cold solder joins could cause this as well.
