Default Anatech's Transistor Matching Jig

I have a couple of questons about the info Anatech posted about his transistor matching jig.

Both schematics have similar values, so I'll reference the NPN.
Just to confirm: V+ can be anywhere between 10-25VDC? On your board, it looks like you are using +10VDC?
And V- has to be -10VDC?
I'm assuming that common can be tied to safety ground?

How would this need to be modified to match JFETs?

Thanks for all the great info on this site!

Hi,

I would really recommend that you think a little more about what you actually want to match. For bipolars there's hfe, VBE, for fets VGS, maybe transconductance, for jfets IDSS, just to name the most common.

I just read recently here - "Just because you can does not mean you should". Matching is only for few circuits beneficial and most of the time only done because one can.

Have fun, Hannes
