Default Pioneer SX-217 problem

Hi all, I have a Pioneer SX-217 that keeps shutting down after 10sec of operation. It appears the protection circuit is kicking in and when it does the front diplay reports "Overload". Unfortunatly I don't have a scematic for this unit and was wondering if anyone may be familiar with it and can provide some advice on how best to deal with the trouble condition. The unit is not connected to anything other than power and I've already checked for shorts at the input connectors as well as the speaker terminals. Appreciate any assistance offered.

Howard.
