I have a Blown MOSFET in an old school Rockford Fosgate Punch 200a2 (the black and grind or BBQ Rockford amp if that means anything to you guys), the component is blown out at the source terminal. Now upon the inspection of a few other threads with similar FET related issues I can deduce that the MOSFET in and of itself may not be the problem, in many cases another component's anomilies may be the underlying issue. If that is indeed what I am dealing with, then how can I find the problem if there actually is one.
The MOSFET in question is Q8 on the board, Seimens Sipmos BUZ103. Another DIY'er has been so gracious as to provide me with the component's tech sheet. http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data...ens/BUZ103.pdf Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all, Aaron
