I was asking my self if there is free ware to use the soundcard to test your amplifier.
I bought Hobbybox to measure my speakers. But I do not like MLS to use for amp testing.
I want to measure:
distortion
noise level
channel separation.
frequency response
rise time
And all I forgot to think off.
So do you have good tip for me?

here is a link to a thread where I did tests on a preamp using rmaa with before and after modification results.
Note that for some reason firefox is having problems with the pictures but ie is working. Must be a bug in the latest version of firefox that was installed in the last week or so.
Note that I use the preamp in this test between my amp and pc to make sure the levels are safe. You could also use resistors, but you need to ensure that the voltage going to the sound card is kept low enough (probably under 2V to be on the safe side, or risk blowing your sound cards input.
