I picked up a Denon DRA-35V receiver that works well, except the variable loudness pot has gone bad. The left channel sounds muted (bass shy) regardless of the position of the potentiometer. If I press the knob in, the wiper makes contact and the left channel sounds normal.
The pot is an Alps 100K stereo. Is it possible to disassemble and fix the potentiometer? If not, can I bypass the pot and not use the loudness control? Sorry, no schematics but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, pete |
