help please, distorting mosfet power amp.

hi its a citronic ppx 1200.

I have the schematic, there isn't much in it, I set to work blind.

symptoms are distortion on one channel, clip light is coming on.

I replaced some electrolytic capacitors whilst I was at it, and replaced both clip section transistors,

channel is still distorting.

Any ideas,

differential input

differential driver

and 5 mosfets output stage

I was going to start on the driver stage replacement, any tips if I am in the right place?

oh it also has a debalancing 4580? opamp

vol controls are alps blues which are known to go duff.

what should I replace that with? for '[best' sound, its a very nice sounding mosfet amplifier, with not much wrong and fairly!!! easy access. rather heavy at 30kg tho

Can you get access to an osciliscope because this will save a lot of time and guesswork?
You have a good channel to compare, so you if you can scope the amplifier you could easily track down the faulty area. Without a scope you really are trying to fix the amplifier 'blind'.
There is no point in upgrading any components untill you have fixed the fault!
