I have 4 amplifier modules which I was going to use for a 2 bridged mono blocks, the modules output 300W/8ohms and 500W/4ohm using a 800VA transformer each.
My question is which would be better using 2 x 800va OR 1 x 2kVA transformer per bridged amplifier? Any power output differences? I have read that a single transformer in a bridged configuration is better for lower THD+N. Thanks SE |

Could the expected output in bridged mode be 1500W?

One transformer and one power supply module is better, because some of PSU-induced errors will cancel in bridged mode.

I personally prefer RAIR.
Redundant Array of Inexpensive Rectifiers.
