I used only the tone control and output sections and used an LM301 ETI circuit for the Microphone input section, to make a 3 channel mixer. You cannot compare the voicing of the mid to high quality mixers, but you can get quite an O.K. sound; I used an OP27 instead of NE5534 for the output stage as the latter sounded quite hollow.
Instead you can look for some SoundCraft schematics that I have seen on the web. They are far better designed and the range of the tone controls should be better from what I have heard in their commercial range.
